Therapies available at The Disability Foundation - treating mind, body and spirit

To promote well being at an emotional, physical and spiritual level, The Disability Foundation offers a wide range of therapeutic treatments from our therapy rooms at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. In order to access our complementary therapy service you need to first become a member of TDF.

All of the above adult therapies are also available for children except for Hypnotherapy, Counselling and Acupuncture (replaced with Acupressure). The children's therapies listed below are tailored specifically to children’s needs.

General information and guidance

All our therapists are fully insured and qualified with experience of working with disabled people. Our disabled clients, their carers and non-disabled clients all benefit from the individual attention of our experienced therapists.

Accessing the services at TDF is simple and straight forward. No GP or hospital referral is necessary however a Doctor’s letter of consent may be required.

When contacting TDF to make an appointment the Reception Team will ask a series of questions about your disability/medical history/condition including your current medication.
